Before we go any further, let me tell you about a bug bear of mine:
There are so many courses, blog posts, formulas and videos that go through the nuts and bolts of how to price. Step by step guides on how to price taking into account what you want to earn and overheads… and there is absolutely a place for those tools!
My issue with them is that they often ignore what else is going on here. They make the presumption that the reason we are struggling with pricing is maths, complexity and confusion. They take a just push through your feelings and resistance and do it attitude.
I think we all know that if it was that simple, you’d have done it already.

The danger when we simply approach pricing as a maths issue is that we can undersell ourselves and find that we create businesses that simply are not sustainable. Even more than that, they can be downright exhausting.
Pricing your work is deep self care. Does that mean I’m going to be encouraging you all to charge high amount in this workshop? Absolutely not! You are the expert here, I have no interest in pushing you to a certain price. I want you to price your work in ways that work for you.
